In the area of the Sopot Hippodrome, there is a glacial erratic with an engraved, stylized Gothic inscription in German, which can be translated as: "Here, the heart of the rider Gustav v. Puttkamer broke. The stone was erected in memory of the death of Gustav Puttkamer from the 2nd Hussar Regiment stationed in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, who tragically died after falling from his horse during a race in Sopot.
