monuments

A monument dedicated to Adam Mickiewicz was unveiled on December 4, 1955. It consists of a concrete plaque with the likeness of the poet and an inscription, attached to a glacial erratic boulder. The inscription on the plaque reads: "To Adam Mickiewicz, a great Pole, a brilliant poet, a revolutionary, on the hundredth anniversary of his death (1855-1955) - the residents of Sopot." Previously, before the war, on the same boulder, there was a plaque dedicated to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
