The 35th anniversary of the liberation of the city, unveiled a monument commemorating the return Sopot to Polish after World War II. It consists of two rough-hewn granite boulders set on one another. At the bottom is suspended a brass plaque with an interesting coat of arms Sopot designed by Zbigniew Jóźwik. On the upper stone inscribed with the date March 23, 1945. The second plate was removed in order to renew, contains an inscription in XXXV anniversary of the liberation of Sopot - the inhabitants.
