The building is one of the most interesting sights of Sopot. The villa was modeled on the Palace of the Grand Master of the castle in Malbork. It was built in 1909 by architect A. Bielfedta, on request known before the war Sopot art collector F. Basnera. Until 1945, the building and the surrounding park were a small private museum. At the end of World War II Collection devastated.
